Baked Sea Trout

I sometimes get the urge to eat fish. And it has been a while, I perused the seafood display at the grocery store. I usually go for salmon because it's the fish I know, but the prices were too high. I found a decently priced and sized slab of sea trout though.  I always thought trout as a fresh water fish, so it intrigued me.

I looked for a recipe online and found one that seemed good, but required sour cream which I didn't have on hand. So I got creative (experimental?).

The dressing consists of lots of grated Parmesan cheese with a teaspoon of lemon juice, some salt and a bit of garlic powder. I mixed it and added some milk to make it pasty. I spread that over the fish in an oven-proof pan. Sprinkled with paprika and covered with a layer of mayonnaise.

In the oven at 350F for about 20 minutes (until the meat breaks easily) and there we are!

Fresh out of the oven

The result was delicious and I definitely will use this again. And the trout was good too! It tasted surprisingly close to salmon.
